BLOGMAS!!!

Part 3

(December 12th-14th)

Welcome back everyone! I promise this BLOGMAS🎅🎄❄️☃️ won’t be as deep as the last one haha, but I just want to recap the last couple of days.

I really tried hard the last couple of days to rest. I’ve done some hard resets, for example, hot shower, hair care, skin care, meal prep (sort of, thinking of trying some new meals), self-care + me time is in FULL SWING! If I felt like it wasn’t benefitting or positive for me, it wasn’t happening or I wasn’t doing it or participating. I am really taking this serious. My feelings come first. My emotions come first. My mental health comes first. My physical health comes first. My spirituality comes first! You get what I’m saying here? I come first other than God and Jesus.

Lately, I’ve come to the realization who’s there for me and who’s not and who I don’t want in my corner and who I do want in my corner. I don’t know if it’s how deeply I’ve been in prayer with God, asking for guidance, or what but lot’s of things have been coming to light lately and as much as it stresses me out, I like it because this is what I’ve been asking God’s help for. To show me! Show me what I need to see to progress in according to His plan for me.

I’ve been dealing with a lot lately, and these last three days, I’ve just been resetting and resetting and resetting because every day, something comes to light and I need to readjust and that’s completely fine! I want to do all the adjusting I can to be in accordance with God’s plan for me. So these last few days, I’ve just been taking care of me, my boyfriend, our relationship with God, and our life. Why, you ask? Because that’s all that matters to me right now. And it’s okay to do this! So here’s my middle-of-the-week advice:

Take CARE of YOU! 🫵🏾

That’s all I have you all today for BLOGMAS Pt.3🎅🎄❄️☃️, while I continue to reset and readjust myself! Enjoy today and let’s get jolly! The week’s almost over, yay! Oh, and am I the only one that hasn’t finished Christmas shopping yet??? 🫢🤔😂Because ya girl is late!

Ouidad + Shea Moisture Coconut Oil

Ouidad Products

Hey y’all, I’m going to tell ya a little bit Ouidad Products today! Ooo I love these products so much, and I’m thankful that Libby Christensen (a Gymshark influencer on Instagram) shared this with her followers because as soon as I switched to these conditioners and shampoo, it changed my curls for the better! After getting my hair cut a couple years ago, I sampled a lot of their lines before finding my favorites, for example, Ultra Nourishing, Curl Quencher, and Curl Infusion. I ended up loving all of them, for my natural hair, but the Curl Infusion line (as seen in the above photo) is my all-time favorite. I still use the Ultra Nourishing Hair Mask (white bottle in photo) because it seems do to do the best for me. I also use the Whipped Curls Daily Conditioner and Priming milk for daily use outside of co-wash and wash days.

With that being said, let me give you a run down of how my co-wash days, wash days, and hair care routines go.

  1. Wash day: I usually only do a full wash day at the beginning of the week, once a week, because that seems to work for my hair care the best. That includes, first the shampoo (rinse after scrubbing), then hair mask (leave in for 2-3 mins, then rinse), lastly I do the conditioner (leave in for 3-4 mins, then rinse) or if I feel like my scalp and curls are really dry, I use the deep conditioner (circular container in front in photo, leave in for 4-5 mins, the rinse).
  2. Co-wash day: I usually only do this once a week as well, in the middle of the week after a full wash day, especially if I worked out 3 days in a row and sweat my hair out. I use the conditioner (leave in for 3-4 mins, then rinse) or deep conditioner (leave in for 4-5 mins, the rinse) depending on how dry my hair is.
  3. Hair care routine: Outside of wash and co-wash days, I will use the whipped curls and priming milk as stated above, however, I only use those products every other day, not every day, because my hair doesn’t seem to need it daily. I also do not use these products the day of or after wash or co-wash days, my hair doesn’t seem to need it?? and I question it because maybe I should be doing it after those days but I chose not to for some odd reason.

I really love these products because they make my hair feel so soft and healthy. They aren’t hard on my hair like other products I used and they really bring out my curls. Confession, I’m not the best with sticking to the exact routine but for the most part I take care of my hair when it needs to be. I struggled with taking care of my hair while in college because I was on the go, all the time but once I got it cut, and started with Ouidad products I could see the growth and feel my hair strengthening and repairing itself. Which is a plus!

Shea Moisture Coconut Oil

This head-to-toe coconut oil is so good for many reasons, mainly because I use it for not just my skin but hair and feet too! It really moisturizes my skin and hair and I love it. I use this product after I shower. I rub my hands, elbows, knees, and feet. Then I use it on my hair after washing/co-washing. This has really done wonders to my skin and hair as well. Keeping me soft and shiny, we love that! I really think it helps my hair grow as well, but I don’t really know that for sure, so don’t @ me haha! If you know my boyfriend, he jokes that I get “coco butter” (which is an entirely different product but whatever haha) everywhere and all over him, but oh well, he’ll live right? Oh, quick tip, don’t use in shower, you’ll be slipping and sliding for sure! Don’t want you breaking necks now do we?

Star Rating:

I give BOTH these products, 5 stars because they’ve done nothing but the best for me. 10/10 recommend them both. For my curly haired cuties! Please give Ouidad a try, buy it from their website (I linked it above) or, I just remembered that Ulta Beauty has their products as well! Yes, it’s a bit pricey but for the results I’ve gotten, I say do it! I swear by them! I find the coconut oil anywhere, Walmart, Target, Meijer, etc. I think it’s cheapest at Walmart though.

And there it is folks! Two new products for you to try out, let me know if you do! Thanks for coming to my ted talk! I love you all, and hope your week is going well! Love you, bye!!!
