Goodbye Yesterday

โ€œNow I’m dancing on the grace that I once lived in!โ€ // “GOODBYE YESTERDAY” by ELEVATION RHYTHM, Gracie Binion

Hey everyone! Itโ€™s be soooo long!! My gosh I canโ€™t believe (well I can but still) that I havenโ€™t posted a single blog this year on the website. I would say Iโ€™m ashamed but my heart just wasnโ€™t in it. Sadly. But I want to do this now, and thatโ€™s what matters! I hope youโ€™ll stay with me through the highs and lows. ๐Ÿฉต

The Year of Goodnessโ˜€๏ธ โ€”Donโ€™t forget how Good God Isย

Before we get into the depths of the post, let me start off being telling you my word for the year and how itโ€™s impacted my life.

My word of the year is GOODNESS. The word has been spoken over my life and Iโ€™ve experienced tremendous amounts of Goodness throughout this year (all my life๐Ÿ˜‰). God has really shown me how good He is by blessing me and giving me the courage to sustain myself in His presence each and every day. When I remain humble and faithful, God shows up. Over and over again. I canโ€™t believe nor comprehend the amount of security I have in Christ and the One True God.ย

God has shown up for me by showing me who is for me and against me, by blessing me with ability to lead others in worship (weโ€™ll go deeper into this later), and by showing me that when I lean on Him, I have everything I need.

โ€œYou are my everything!โ€ // “WHAT A GOD” by SEU Worship/ONE HOUSE

The biggest change and answered prayer is that I am now on the Worship Team at Port City Church. Itโ€™s been the biggest blessing Iโ€™ve had in my entire life and I know itโ€™s because itโ€™s what Iโ€™ve been called to do. Sing His praises. Took a year and a half, for me to finally get on stage but all of it was worth the wait!

Letโ€™s talk about the waiting. Gosh it was hard, but easy at the same time with the help and mentorship I received from JP (previous worship director) and Anika (current worship director). Those two people led me through my journey of becoming a vocalist just like my heart longed for. Then Easter Sunday came and Tee was a gang vocalist for the worship service!! Ahhh highlight of the year!!ย

Iโ€™ve been on stage at least twice a month since then and let me tell you, GOD DID THAT! He knew what He was doing when He placed a microphone in my hand, and song of praise out of my mouth! Iโ€™ve come to love everything about worshiping our Heavenly Father and Jesus. the Holy Spirit fills me every single time I get to help lead others through worship! My step-mother Melissa said I get so giddy, have so much confidence, and love it so much because itโ€™s where God is meeting me. God meets me on stage so that I do this all for Him. Not just for me. Itโ€™s about the callings snd my calling is to lead others in worship! Can I get an amen! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Speaking of the Lord, letโ€™s talk about the Word. Bible study has been a journey, trust me. There are days where I donโ€™t get to my Bible reading and those are usually the days where I either fall short, am stressed, or having a hard time. So, my understanding is, getting in Godโ€™s Word and sitting within His presence is the best option for my soul, heart, and mind.

I have read from Genesis through Job in the Old Testament and man has it been a great thing to study and read through. Iโ€™ve learned so much, from the stories of Moses, David, Joseph, to Ruth, Esther, Job, and more! After getting all the way to the book of Psalms (which Iโ€™m currently reading through now), I have a better understanding of the Old Testament. Especially when at church, I actually understand what the sermons are talking about because Iโ€™ve read through Scripture and comprehended what I read. How awesome is that!

This is a lengthy post but I feel like itโ€™s needed. Bear with me, weโ€™re almost to the finish line. ๐Ÿ

Moving forward to the hobbies of life.

  1. Iโ€™ve read 22 books this year! Genres range from: Romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, personal growth, Christian! Want recs? Iโ€™ll send some in a later post!
  2. The GYM! Listen, the gym and I werenโ€™t the best of friends for a like half this year but once I fell back in love with it, last week, Iโ€™m here 3 days a week, and I LOVE IT. Iโ€™ll even be posting my workout routine and what I do each time I come. Itโ€™s okay to fall in your fitness journey, routine, whatever you wanna call it. As long as you get back in! And thatโ€™s all that matters! On the days Iโ€™m not in the gym, Iโ€™m doing yoga, resting and recovering, a walk outdoors, etc, so thereโ€™s always other forms of working out other than the gym! Remember that!ย

Gratitude:ย

  1. I am grateful for my GOD! He has done wonders in my life and I could cry daily about it!
  2. My boyfriend is my favorite person in this world, I wouldnโ€™t be here without him. Heโ€™s gotten me through tough times, and loves me for who I am. I will forever be thankful for Landon!
  3. My church! Port City Church has shaped me into a fellow Christ follower and I praise Jesus for this! Thank you to Anika for aiding me in my call to worship, Pastor Steve, Pastor Apollo and Pastor Dave for sharing the message of God each week!
  4. For my community of women in my life holding me up!
  5. For prayer, without it I couldnโ€™t speak to my heavenly Father ! And I cherish my time and talks with God!

Well! Itโ€™s been an honor writing for you, welcome back to my blog! I love you! Follow me on Instagram for now other than this website! Links below!

Xoxo,

Life Lately

Never in a million years did I think Iโ€™d be where I am today. I got baptized and am a Christ follower! I have the best church community I could ever ask for. I have the loveliest boyfriend in the world, for almost four years now. I have felt so much of Godโ€™s presence this year alone (not saying He wasnโ€™t present before, just Iโ€™ve slowed down to actually feel it myself). Iโ€™ve read four books of the Old Testament in the Bible this year. I hit the gym hard as heck this summer-September, taking a small break and hopped back in this week! I started reading a different genre, Fantasy Romance, ACOTAR is AMAZING, ConSUMING my life now! This summer I drafted so many version of a book Iโ€™m writing because not one has hit me yet, and actually going to start a different version now because itโ€™s been in my head for a while now. Like wow! Iโ€™m really doing this thing called life!

Iโ€™m proud of Tee๐Ÿฅน.

Sheโ€™s doing her thing! Sheโ€™s testing limits, pushing boundaries, trying new things, and all the while feeling lost but continuing to follow Godโ€™s direction, first. I couldnโ€™t be more proud of her. Of who sheโ€™s becoming and became so far, in this 27 years of life. She finally put herself first. Sheโ€™s been through a lot, but Godโ€™s always had her! Can I get a AMEN! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ praise Jesus!

Goals

  1. Get 8 pulls again, up my bench press to  165lbs for 3 reps and deadlift PR to 205 for 3 reps, (Gym Girl related) by the end of the month!
  2. Finish two books this month!
  3. Post more blogs/vlogs this month!
  4. Finish another book of the Old Testament by the end of the month
  5. Draft this new version of my book

3 Things to be Grateful For

  1. GODโค๏ธ!That He forgives me constantly and continues to do it over and over whenever I fall short. That He is faithful and will never forsake me
  2. Myselfโค๏ธ. For getting me this far in life and trusting in myself to continue to be greater every single day!
  3. My Landon. Heโ€™s my partner in life and I donโ€™t know where Iโ€™d seriously be without him! I love him so much! He deals with me constantly lol and I know itโ€™s so hard! Canโ€™t wait to marry him one dayโค๏ธ.

And thatโ€™s the TEE!

Waiting With God

Waiting…

Itโ€™s the one thing none of us want to do. Itโ€™s something so hard to do. Nobody wants to play the waiting games. But sis, let me tell you, when you WAIT WITH GOD (Psalms 27:14 NLT), and get what is coming for you, itโ€™s so much more rewarding.

Leaning on God has been all Iโ€™ve been able to do this year. For a house. For a ring. For a business. For rest. For children. Itโ€™s all I want. But it took a devotional yesterday or the day before, before I sat back and asked God what His Will for me is. How silly of me! To think that I was in control here. Yeah, I want all of those things, and Iโ€™m not saying God doesnโ€™t, but did I even ask Him what He wanted for me? Nope. Sure darn didnโ€™t. I just prayed and prayed for the things I wanted. And thatโ€™s okay to do, He says, be specific, ask and you shall receive (Luke 11:9 NLT, John 16:24 NLT). But I hadnโ€™t asked God to show me the things He wants for me, His Will for me.

So last night, thatโ€™s what I did. I asked Him to show me, tell me, and I need to be still and listen (Psalms 46:10 NLT).

If you are in the waiting period, know that you are not alone. God is with you (Joshua 1:9 NLT) and so am I.

3 Things To Be Grateful For…

  1. GOD + HIS SON! I will forever be grateful for our merciful God and Savior. I have tons of testimonies this year alone to know that God is greater!
  2. The Bible! I am grateful that God has never went back on His promises to His people in the Bible. He will never forsake us! He is with us. I have a lot of the New Testament, and two and half books of the Old Testament, and man have I seen God do some amazing things for us! If you haven’t read the Bible, it may be your time to start. 10/10 rec!
  3. My boyfriend Landon! He puts up with some much from me, and I know God gave me him. I couldn’t have gotten this far without him, and I don’t know where I’d be without him. God really knew what he was doing three and half years ago when our paths crossed.

What can you be grateful for today?

Thank you for reading! Please like and subscribe and follow me on my other socials! I’m mainly on Instagram! However, I am taking a two week fast. I’m in need of a social media cleanse! It’s not goodbye, just see ya laterโœŒ๐Ÿพ!

Goodbye ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿพ April, Hello March ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ

Alexa, play โ€œShouldersโ€ by for King and Country.

โ€œThereโ€™s nothing wrong with staring over.โ€ That phrase resonates with me right now because I feel like Iโ€™m due for a restart and refresh. I am a firm believer in the mercy of God giving us another chance, to repent and ask for forgiveness, and witness His faithfulness. So, Lord I beg for your forgiveness, your mercy and really appreciate everything you do for me! Because without you, oh Lord, I shall not prevail (I canโ€™t make it without Him๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฅฒ). And I wonโ€™t apologize for sharing my faith! This faith, that I have, has grown so much this year; and Iโ€™m so proud of myself.

That being said, I want to say goodbye to April, and Hello May! This month will be filled with reading the Bible, praying more often than already am, lingering in Godโ€™s presence by taking notes as I read the word, doing devotionals. Also, I want to get back into reading romance novels again, itโ€™s been SO long since Iโ€™ve just sat down and read a book, for fun. This month will also be filled with rest and being more active too! The gym is so much fun again since having a workout buddy! My cousin and I have so much fun together there and itโ€™s so restoring! โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

Let this month be the best one yet! Let me end with a prayer,

Dear God,

I thank you. I thank you for all that you do for me. Taking me to my knees and bringing me so much mercy and grace. Your word has been the biggest blessing to me this year; the book of Genesis was AMAZING, I learned so much! And the fear of You, oh God, makes me tremble. Tremble in Your Presence. Again, thank you for all that you do for me. Leading me through, giving me signs, strength, and love. Thank you for holding my hand, Jesus,

I love you, oh Lord.

Praise be to โ€œI Am who I Am.โ€ Jehovah Jireh.

In Jesus name,

Amen!

The College Experience

Good morning Friends and welcome back to Tee Time! Can y’all believe I went back to college after like, what, three or four years off??? Yeah, me too๐Ÿ˜…!

I am so proud of myself for getting through my college courses this summer. Man! I was not sure Iโ€™d make it out alive๐Ÿ˜…but I did! And you know how I did that? I got a planner, I wrote down all my due dates and study times. I dedicated 2+ hours to classes each day. But you know what else I did? I prayed. I leaned on God. I asked for help! Because I knew I couldnโ€™t do this alone! And you know what God gave me? My support system to hold me accountable.

I want to really thank Kaysie, my step sister, for holding me accountable, making sure I sent her a list of things I needed to get done (daily) and she would ask me throughout the day whether I got things done or not. She always made sure I stuck to my plan and I thank God for her!

I also thank my boyfriend for always praising me for getting things done and reassuring me that I was doing a good job sticking to my plans of action. I felt like I dedicated more time to school than I did our relationship (itโ€™s not true, all in my head) and he always reassured me that that was not the case and he didnโ€™t feel that way at all. And I know it wasnโ€™t the case just I felt like it at times. So I thank him for always making sure I was staying on task but also taking breaks and being done for the day so I didnโ€™t wear myself out with too much studying.

Also thankful for my friends Kenn, Jess, and Britt for always sharing words of encouragement and supporting me through the semester saying I could do this and I got this! Iโ€™m so thankful to have them in my life!

I also want to thank the girls from my theater class. All of them were amazing people and I enjoyed getting to know each of them. Abby, Holly, Naomi, Sara, Chrysta, and moreโ€ฆthey definitely made it fun to come to a 3 hour class after an 8 hour shift at work ๐Ÿ˜‚ we had so much fun and I never got bored with the class. Professor Les, was an amazing instructor and I really enjoyed his class and teaching style. I also recommend Theater for Kids for anyone going into the teaching and education profession! I learned so much about creative drama and how it fits into early childhood education/development, and I strongly believe itโ€™ll be a beneficial class to take for any type of education degrees.

Creative drama deals with movement, pantomime, puppetry, storytelling, and more. All those subjects can be turned into tons of activities to do with children of all ages! From early childhood all the way to high school! We created lesson plans with each subject we learned and I loved how each of them could be modified to fit the appropriate age range with tweaks in intensity levels of each activity, like taking it a step further the older the group.

I also took a child development course and it taught me about prenatal care, birthing stages, all the way up to middle childhood and peer acceptance. I learned so much from this material, and Iโ€™ve been in childcare for over 5 years now, but I still learned more about development. I love that because now I can take what I learned from that class and incorporate it into my job! Share my knowledge on emotional intelligence and how gross and fine motor skills are different for all ages. No child is the same. But every child can be amazing!

This was a wonderful experience. Yes there were tears and times I wanted to tap out. But I kept going. I didnโ€™t want to go back to school, felt I was too old for it, and thought โ€œwhat else is there for me to learn about?โ€ Well I sure learned more than expected and Iโ€™m glad I took that leap of faith and dove into this for myself and my future.

Go Tee๐Ÿฅณ Iโ€™m so proud of you girl!

Now I get a break before fall classes start back up again and I couldnโ€™t be more excited about a break but Iโ€™m also ready to learn more about early childhood education! Thank you to everyone was my support system and held me accountable this semester! And thank you God for being on my side 24/7!

Amen!

SHIFTED

Heyyy yโ€™all! Letโ€™s just dive right on in!

Itโ€™s been a HOT HOT MIN since ya girl has been online and posting blogs but let me tell you! My life has been in a whirl wind ๐Ÿ’จ ๐ŸŒช๏ธ since my last post! Honestly, I had this big, big plan on how I wanted to post, what I wanted to post, and when; but God had another plan for me! He told me to sit down and focus! Get my head in the game NOW. And what I mean by that is how I literally shifted into a new, older me with a snap of a finger, starting January 1st!

At the beginning of this year, I really shaped myself into putting me first and MEANING that. For instance, if it didnโ€™t/doesnโ€™t benefit Tee, I am not doing it! If it doesnโ€™t make me happy/happier, Iโ€™m not doing it. If the conversation doesnโ€™t concern me, Iโ€™m not being in it. And in the last like two or so months, I changed even more and said to myself, if I want to say no, I will! Iโ€™ve been really standing by my own side and my own mental health/state and taking a stand for Tee, and her future self! I have accomplished so many goals this year itโ€™s incredibly insane! And Iโ€™ve still got more to go!

God has really done his work on me. So hereโ€™s a prayer I have for me and my future self:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please keep me focused and in this way that I am in the present, and move in the direction you see fit. Open doors that are for me and close the ones that are not! Take me the way you already have planned for me. Thank you for all the things youโ€™ve done and helped me achieve and accomplish so far in my life, and thank you always for everything youโ€™ve ever done for me! I praise you Lord, and thank you giving your only begotten son for us all on Earth, and washing away our sins. When I got baptized, something changed, pushed me, motivated me even more than I already was by you Lord.

I love you,

In the name of your son, Jesus Christ,

Amen!

Alright! So, after all this information that I just gave you, I want to talk about what Iโ€™m going to do next. BALANCE! Thatโ€™s whatโ€™s next for me. Iโ€™ve worked so, so hard on my mental health that now itโ€™s time to shift over to balance and time management! First of all, I want to thank Brittany Lupton and her most recent podcast episode on her Fun and Gains Podcast about โ€œbalancing lifeโ€ and how to really sit down and realize that not everything I want to do in a day needs to be completed. Also that all things in my life that I need to do, do not need to have the same chunk of time associated with them. Thatโ€™s something I really was struggling with. I was like โ€œoh I need to do Spanish the same amount of time I read for fun,โ€ or โ€œdinner and family time have to go togetherโ€ or โ€œI need to spend hours on homework just like I do this thingโ€ NO NO NO! Everything gets their own time block, Tee! Some days, Iโ€™ll spend more time doing one thing than the next. Brittany used a great example, when she talked about working on YouTube content. She spent the majority of her day just on that content because she felt like it needed that kind of attention, and the next day she moved on to something else. Navigating time management is going to be hard for me. But I know I can do it.

Question: how are you going to do it Tee?

Here are some steps I am going to take, step by step! (Tips from Britt herself)

  1. Make a plan and define priorities
  2. Take action
  3. Be consistent
  4. Practice self discipline
  5. Remember self care and breaks are important too!

Below is a daily planner template that Iโ€™m going to try to start using this coming week. I already have a weekly workout planner that I used earlier in the year that Iโ€™m going to start back up. I also am adding a weekly planner and weekly meal planner as well! All of these are from Canva and I cannot wait to see how it all plays out!

With all that being said, Iโ€™m going to close up here. I know that was a lot to throw at you but over the past few weeks Iโ€™ve been drafting and drafting and drafting, and each time I draft a new piece/paragraph comes out of me. Therefore, Iโ€™m really going to buckle down on balance and realigning myself with the help of time management! This summer is filling up with things I want and have to do, school is starting to buckle up on the workload, so I want to be ready for it all! Because then I can start putting scheduled free time and me time in between those things, because thatโ€™s important too!

3 Things I’m Grateful For

  1. My ability to control my emotions and feelings
  2. Myself for putting me first and foremost
  3. My longing to be the greatest version of myself.

Remember:

-Don’t let the hard days win

-Your peace comes first

-You are enough

-You can do this!

Diary of the Day

Average is Over by Deanna Margo

Hey friends, and welcome back to my Diary of the Day! It’s been a minute but I want to go over some notes took for myself that I want to share with you.

Deanna Margo is a great fitness trainer of Instagram. I just started recently listening to her Mental Reps Podcast in December 2022, and she got me hooked with her realness and non sugar-coating attitude about fitness and health. She has so much advice and as much as I talk of Brittany Lupton, Deanna is just as good! One of her recent podcasts, “Average Is Over” hit me right where it needed to, right at the needed time too. I was on my way to the gym, perfect timing! Every things she spoke, I listed down in my notes app and made sure I took note of what was speaking to me as I listened. So, here’s the list: (excuse my language๐Ÿ˜…)

  1. Stop skipping the gym
  2. Stop breaking promises to myself
  3. Stop eating bad food all the time
  4. Stop accepting less of myself then I know I am capable of
  5. Canโ€™t go half assing my goals (procrastinating is a no)
  6. Laziness is a no

Affirmations + Mental Health

If you needed motivation, help, or advice about your fit journey, THERE YA GO! It’s all right there in front of us. Right there for you and I to see and tell ourselves. Be YOUR ๐Ÿซต๐Ÿพ own motivation and be YOUR ๐Ÿซต๐Ÿพ first priority! I’m speaking to myself as well, I am holding myself accountable.

Speaking of myself, I am so proud of my mental health. I have come sooo dang far! I used to just cry and give up when things were hard, and let myself spiral until it was nearly impossible to get out of that darkness. But now, I just let go of what I cannot control. I pray. I believe in myself. I put my mental health, my feelings, first. I listen to worship music and study the Bible daily!

Dear Past Me,

Hey girl, you are doing so well, even when you think you are not. I promise everything will be okay, and you WILL get through this honey! You are strong, you can do this, you are enough, you are TEE!

Love,

Present Me๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿพ

3 Things I’m Grateful For

  1. ME
  2. God + Jesus for being my rock!
  3. Prayer, without prayer, I wouldn’t be a follower of Christ!

December 1st, 2022

Chapter 12 of 12!

Let’s give December a warm welcome! It’s the last month of the year!! Which means a couple things:

  1. New month, new goals
  2. It’s my BIRTHDAY MONTH
  3. Read the 24 chapters of Luke for Christmas Advent on when Jesus was born (starts today! I’m using the Bible App for this)
  4. Annual Baking Day!!
  5. Goal Setting for next year!
  6. First YOGA class tonight
  7. Christmas shop!
  8. Enjoy Christmas Break

I’m really excited for this month! I feel like lots of things are going to happen and lead me into this New Year really smoothly. I’ll be diving back into the Bible and getting closer to Christ, our Lord. I really want to read the Bible in a year next year, I’m really trying to dedicate myself to doing that next year, and I even have a Bible App Plan for this read to go January 1st!

Also, my birthday! I’ll be 26 and I cannot believe how grateful I am for how well my 25th year went. Lot’s of ups and down, heavy expectations, lots of temptations, lots of self discovery, job switching, etc. But this year, this 26th year, will be filled with succession, positivity, love, grace, accomplishments, and all! I’m so excited to get this chapter of my life rolling! I have two amazing weddings to be in, which means two super fun bachelorette parties! Woohoo! LET’S GO!! I am saving for a house, with my boyfriend, we are so ready to move out and into our own space, so saving, saving, saving, is what I’ll be doing! I also want this blog to BOOM with tons of content, followers, and accomplishments! I got a lot of ideas already, STAY TUNED! I got a new year agenda from Home Goods and a new notebook for the blog (thanks Dad!) where I will be able to draft a little bit more instead of just on Notes on my iPhone and MacBook (not that I still wont use that probably as well while I’m on the go!).

Speaking of MacBook’s, I want to upgrade next year to the MacBook Air M1, and I cannot wait for that! I currently have my old Macbook Air (oldest version) and I love it, has done me so well over the last 6 years, I cannot complain. It got me through college, my old blog, numerous stories, hobbies, and more. I love it so much, and it kind of saddens me but I want to upgrade. I’ve had the computer long enough to do it justice, and I feel like I’ve gotten my $1,000 out of it. Now it’s time to upgrade and get another 6 years out of the new one!

Goals for the New Year

I don’t really have it all set up yet, but I really want to goal set for next year, and I will either today or this week/weekend for sure! There’s already a lot I want to accomplish and check off my goal setting list, for example, saving $5,000, buying a new MacBook, eat more fruits and veggies. As you can see, there’s already lot’s of things I want to do next year and I plan to do it all before this month next year! What are your goals for 2023?

I want to travel, but with two weddings and big savings account plans, that might be hard, but it’s on my list for sure! I want to read at least 2 books a month. I want a lot before my next birthday. Which is my GOLDEN BIRTHDAY! 27 on the 27th! Wooooo! I’m partying hard for that one, stay tuned for next years birthday plans!! I know this year, I ruined my surprise birthday party by being an amazing planner, and I dipped too far into my friends planning ideas, haha, which they suspected would happen anyways because they know me best! But that party is coming up and I cannot wait to share that experience with you all!

Anyways, I have a lot to do today, but I wanted to get on here and welcome the month of December with y’all!

Enjoy your day! FOLLOW the blog and Instagram (link below)!

I love you all! Happy December, get that Christmas shopping done and enjoy time with your loved ones. Bye!

And that’s the TEE๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ’™โ˜•๏ธ
