“Now I’m dancing on the grace that I once lived in!” // “GOODBYE YESTERDAY” by ELEVATION RHYTHM, Gracie Binion

Hey everyone! It’s be soooo long!! My gosh I can’t believe (well I can but still) that I haven’t posted a single blog this year on the website. I would say I’m ashamed but my heart just wasn’t in it. Sadly. But I want to do this now, and that’s what matters! I hope you’ll stay with me through the highs and lows. 🩵

The Year of Goodness☀️ —Don’t forget how Good God Is

Before we get into the depths of the post, let me start off being telling you my word for the year and how it’s impacted my life.

My word of the year is GOODNESS. The word has been spoken over my life and I’ve experienced tremendous amounts of Goodness throughout this year (all my life😉). God has really shown me how good He is by blessing me and giving me the courage to sustain myself in His presence each and every day. When I remain humble and faithful, God shows up. Over and over again. I can’t believe nor comprehend the amount of security I have in Christ and the One True God.

God has shown up for me by showing me who is for me and against me, by blessing me with ability to lead others in worship (we’ll go deeper into this later), and by showing me that when I lean on Him, I have everything I need.

“You are my everything!” // “WHAT A GOD” by SEU Worship/ONE HOUSE

The biggest change and answered prayer is that I am now on the Worship Team at Port City Church. It’s been the biggest blessing I’ve had in my entire life and I know it’s because it’s what I’ve been called to do. Sing His praises. Took a year and a half, for me to finally get on stage but all of it was worth the wait!

Let’s talk about the waiting. Gosh it was hard, but easy at the same time with the help and mentorship I received from JP (previous worship director) and Anika (current worship director). Those two people led me through my journey of becoming a vocalist just like my heart longed for. Then Easter Sunday came and Tee was a gang vocalist for the worship service!! Ahhh highlight of the year!!

I’ve been on stage at least twice a month since then and let me tell you, GOD DID THAT! He knew what He was doing when He placed a microphone in my hand, and song of praise out of my mouth! I’ve come to love everything about worshiping our Heavenly Father and Jesus. the Holy Spirit fills me every single time I get to help lead others through worship! My step-mother Melissa said I get so giddy, have so much confidence, and love it so much because it’s where God is meeting me. God meets me on stage so that I do this all for Him. Not just for me. It’s about the callings snd my calling is to lead others in worship! Can I get an amen! 🙏🏾

Speaking of the Lord, let’s talk about the Word. Bible study has been a journey, trust me. There are days where I don’t get to my Bible reading and those are usually the days where I either fall short, am stressed, or having a hard time. So, my understanding is, getting in God’s Word and sitting within His presence is the best option for my soul, heart, and mind.

I have read from Genesis through Job in the Old Testament and man has it been a great thing to study and read through. I’ve learned so much, from the stories of Moses, David, Joseph, to Ruth, Esther, Job, and more! After getting all the way to the book of Psalms (which I’m currently reading through now), I have a better understanding of the Old Testament. Especially when at church, I actually understand what the sermons are talking about because I’ve read through Scripture and comprehended what I read. How awesome is that!

This is a lengthy post but I feel like it’s needed. Bear with me, we’re almost to the finish line. 🏁

Moving forward to the hobbies of life.

  1. I’ve read 22 books this year! Genres range from: Romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, personal growth, Christian! Want recs? I’ll send some in a later post!
  2. The GYM! Listen, the gym and I weren’t the best of friends for a like half this year but once I fell back in love with it, last week, I’m here 3 days a week, and I LOVE IT. I’ll even be posting my workout routine and what I do each time I come. It’s okay to fall in your fitness journey, routine, whatever you wanna call it. As long as you get back in! And that’s all that matters! On the days I’m not in the gym, I’m doing yoga, resting and recovering, a walk outdoors, etc, so there’s always other forms of working out other than the gym! Remember that!

Gratitude:

  1. I am grateful for my GOD! He has done wonders in my life and I could cry daily about it!
  2. My boyfriend is my favorite person in this world, I wouldn’t be here without him. He’s gotten me through tough times, and loves me for who I am. I will forever be thankful for Landon!
  3. My church! Port City Church has shaped me into a fellow Christ follower and I praise Jesus for this! Thank you to Anika for aiding me in my call to worship, Pastor Steve, Pastor Apollo and Pastor Dave for sharing the message of God each week!
  4. For my community of women in my life holding me up!
  5. For prayer, without it I couldn’t speak to my heavenly Father ! And I cherish my time and talks with God!

Well! It’s been an honor writing for you, welcome back to my blog! I love you! Follow me on Instagram for now other than this website! Links below!

Xoxo,

Week of Workouts: 3 Day Split💪🏾

Day One, not one day! 🔥

Hello and welcome back to my fitness journey! This three day split was fun and I was able to move all parts of my body in good ways this week. I am really trying to vamp my workout split into a program to follow for discipline and consistency basis. So, to start out strong, I gave myself the challenge of making it three days to the gym. Not consecutively, due to working my way back into the gym, gaining gym confidence back, and helping my body remember what it feels like and my muscle memory to return.

My goals this time around are:

  1. Making it to the gym three times a week for a four weeks.
  2. Building chest strength and focusing on upping my weight by five to ten pounds each week in Bench Press and Incline Press.
  3. Getting back to 8 pull ups in four weeks (today I did three!).
  4. CARDIO! Running a half a mile straight for two weeks, then a mile for two weeks!
  5. Gaining more core and lower back strength. Doing this by hitting core twice a week, and making sure my form is correct on back exercises and upping my weight slowly each week for four weeks. Hitting the 8 pull ups will definitely help with this!

So! Without further ado…Here’s my 3 Day Split!

Life Lately

Never in a million years did I think I’d be where I am today. I got baptized and am a Christ follower! I have the best church community I could ever ask for. I have the loveliest boyfriend in the world, for almost four years now. I have felt so much of God’s presence this year alone (not saying He wasn’t present before, just I’ve slowed down to actually feel it myself). I’ve read four books of the Old Testament in the Bible this year. I hit the gym hard as heck this summer-September, taking a small break and hopped back in this week! I started reading a different genre, Fantasy Romance, ACOTAR is AMAZING, ConSUMING my life now! This summer I drafted so many version of a book I’m writing because not one has hit me yet, and actually going to start a different version now because it’s been in my head for a while now. Like wow! I’m really doing this thing called life!

I’m proud of Tee🥹.

She’s doing her thing! She’s testing limits, pushing boundaries, trying new things, and all the while feeling lost but continuing to follow God’s direction, first. I couldn’t be more proud of her. Of who she’s becoming and became so far, in this 27 years of life. She finally put herself first. She’s been through a lot, but God’s always had her! Can I get a AMEN! 🙏🏾 praise Jesus!

Goals

  1. Get 8 pulls again, up my bench press to  165lbs for 3 reps and deadlift PR to 205 for 3 reps, (Gym Girl related) by the end of the month!
  2. Finish two books this month!
  3. Post more blogs/vlogs this month!
  4. Finish another book of the Old Testament by the end of the month
  5. Draft this new version of my book

3 Things to be Grateful For

  1. GOD❤️!That He forgives me constantly and continues to do it over and over whenever I fall short. That He is faithful and will never forsake me
  2. Myself❤️. For getting me this far in life and trusting in myself to continue to be greater every single day!
  3. My Landon. He’s my partner in life and I don’t know where I’d seriously be without him! I love him so much! He deals with me constantly lol and I know it’s so hard! Can’t wait to marry him one day❤️.

And that’s the TEE!

Waiting With God

Waiting…

It’s the one thing none of us want to do. It’s something so hard to do. Nobody wants to play the waiting games. But sis, let me tell you, when you WAIT WITH GOD (Psalms 27:14 NLT), and get what is coming for you, it’s so much more rewarding.

Leaning on God has been all I’ve been able to do this year. For a house. For a ring. For a business. For rest. For children. It’s all I want. But it took a devotional yesterday or the day before, before I sat back and asked God what His Will for me is. How silly of me! To think that I was in control here. Yeah, I want all of those things, and I’m not saying God doesn’t, but did I even ask Him what He wanted for me? Nope. Sure darn didn’t. I just prayed and prayed for the things I wanted. And that’s okay to do, He says, be specific, ask and you shall receive (Luke 11:9 NLT, John 16:24 NLT). But I hadn’t asked God to show me the things He wants for me, His Will for me.

So last night, that’s what I did. I asked Him to show me, tell me, and I need to be still and listen (Psalms 46:10 NLT).

If you are in the waiting period, know that you are not alone. God is with you (Joshua 1:9 NLT) and so am I.

3 Things To Be Grateful For…

  1. GOD + HIS SON! I will forever be grateful for our merciful God and Savior. I have tons of testimonies this year alone to know that God is greater!
  2. The Bible! I am grateful that God has never went back on His promises to His people in the Bible. He will never forsake us! He is with us. I have a lot of the New Testament, and two and half books of the Old Testament, and man have I seen God do some amazing things for us! If you haven’t read the Bible, it may be your time to start. 10/10 rec!
  3. My boyfriend Landon! He puts up with some much from me, and I know God gave me him. I couldn’t have gotten this far without him, and I don’t know where I’d be without him. God really knew what he was doing three and half years ago when our paths crossed.

What can you be grateful for today?

Thank you for reading! Please like and subscribe and follow me on my other socials! I’m mainly on Instagram! However, I am taking a two week fast. I’m in need of a social media cleanse! It’s not goodbye, just see ya later✌🏾!

Hobby Refresh

Good morning, FRIENDS☀️ and welcome back to the blog!!

This summer has been filled with excitement and passion for my two favorite hobbies. Writing ✍️ and the gym 🏋🏾‍♀️. It’s been so fun to get back into hobbies that I truly enjoy doing for fun, stress free. The best thing about all of it though, is being able to do this with my cousin Tae. Both hobbies, we have in common, so doing them together has been wonderful. She’s such an inspiration and sharing a common hobby together has truly been the best for my mental health.

Let’s talk about the gym, first. Tae and I have been going to the gym together this entire summer and usually workout 3-4 days on average. I’d say our workout split has been two lower body days and two upper body days, but if we only make it 3 times, we do one upper, one lower, and full body, such so we cover all our bases. I do add in at least 1 or 2 active rest days (ex. A walk, physical therapy, or yoga). There are days where we go alone, but what’s the fun in that🤨🤭. On the days where I go alone I try to focus on goals I have for myself, like a bench press or pull up Pr.

Either way, the gym has been such a journey for me lately and knowing I have a partner/gym buddy makes it all the better. Here are some links to my recent workouts in case you missed it and need examples:

Now, to the most exciting part for me, diving back into writing! I posted on my Instagram story, that I am officially writing a book! It’ll probably be finished by the end of the summer, and it’s a solid project that I have spent so much time on. I don’t know when I’ll give more details, on it, as it’s a personal project for me, but I will say the Dark Romance genre ❤️🌹❤️‍🔥🌶️. I’m still working on solidifying the trope(s) for this book, but I’m pretty sure I know what they are now. I’ve got two great main characters who I love and adore 🥰.

I promise to share more details as I become more confident in my work and this project, so please, stay tuned! This book is going to make my inner child so happy and proud, 🥹 because young Tee has written so many wonderful stories and drafts throughout her life, since she decided in her 6th grade language arts class that she wanted to be an author. I’m not calling this my Golden Year ✨ for nothing!

So, what are some of your favorite hobbies this summer/this year? Leave a comment, and let’s chat it up!

Thank you for reading! I couldn’t do this without you! And that’s the TEE☕️🩵

See you next time 👋🏾 On the Blog!

Goodbye 👋🏾 April, Hello March 💪🏾

Alexa, play “Shoulders” by for King and Country.

“There’s nothing wrong with staring over.” That phrase resonates with me right now because I feel like I’m due for a restart and refresh. I am a firm believer in the mercy of God giving us another chance, to repent and ask for forgiveness, and witness His faithfulness. So, Lord I beg for your forgiveness, your mercy and really appreciate everything you do for me! Because without you, oh Lord, I shall not prevail (I can’t make it without Him🥹🥲). And I won’t apologize for sharing my faith! This faith, that I have, has grown so much this year; and I’m so proud of myself.

That being said, I want to say goodbye to April, and Hello May! This month will be filled with reading the Bible, praying more often than already am, lingering in God’s presence by taking notes as I read the word, doing devotionals. Also, I want to get back into reading romance novels again, it’s been SO long since I’ve just sat down and read a book, for fun. This month will also be filled with rest and being more active too! The gym is so much fun again since having a workout buddy! My cousin and I have so much fun together there and it’s so restoring! ❤️‍🩹

Let this month be the best one yet! Let me end with a prayer,

Dear God,

I thank you. I thank you for all that you do for me. Taking me to my knees and bringing me so much mercy and grace. Your word has been the biggest blessing to me this year; the book of Genesis was AMAZING, I learned so much! And the fear of You, oh God, makes me tremble. Tremble in Your Presence. Again, thank you for all that you do for me. Leading me through, giving me signs, strength, and love. Thank you for holding my hand, Jesus,

I love you, oh Lord.

Praise be to “I Am who I Am.” Jehovah Jireh.

In Jesus name,

Amen!

The Mistletoe Kisser/Blue Moon Series by Lucy Score

Good evening blog fam! I’ve got a mini book review for you on Mistletoe Kisser (with a little taste of review on the Blue Moon series) by Lucy Score!! The Mistletoe Kisser is the last book of 8 in the Blue Moon series and I’m so sad about that. Why? Because I loved this little town, and pictured myself there when reading. Lucy Score’s Blue Moon series was a good chunk of my reading life and TBR pile! Please add this and the the other Blue Moon series to your TBR, 10/10 RECOMMEND!

Thanks for reading! And that’s the TEE👩🏾‍💻💙☕️
